*edit* This is the third time I’ve uploaded this draft. Everytime I do, I keep seeing something I could fix. Ugh, it never ends! You can’t perfect something that, by definition, is never perfect! Such is the life of the animator…

Whoops! Almost forgot about the pose assignment for this week. We are supposed to sketch and pose the emotion “Devastation”. Here’s my sketches. I’ll upload the Stu pose later today or tomorrow.

So, here’s my obstacle course first attempt. If you read this blog, please leave a comment. Let me know what you think. I don’t care if you don’t know anything about animation – comment on it!

The hardest part about it was bouncing on multiple levels. You can’t just follow the formula of: 5 frames up, 5 frames down, next bounce is 4 frames up, 4 frames down, etc.. It’s all mixed up when you have a long fall and a short reach.

I definitely gave myself a challenge by trying to use the hinged ramp in the middle to trick the ball’s trajectory. It’s all good though. I’m learning!

Ok, here’s the next assignment. To bounce this ball through this obstacle course.
It’s all about squash and stretch and anticipation. Here’s my sketch for the course. Let’s see how close the final comes to looking like this.
