In the last Q&A, my Mentor Nick Bruno has praised a student’s assignment from his previous class as the “winner from the first time he heard the audio”. I know it’s not a competition. There are no winners. He acknowledged that as well. What he said was that clip of audio had enough acting in it for it to be interesting. Watch it with your eyes closed - he’s right. The thing to take away from this example is this: Choose audio that’s interesting. Make sure it contains contrast. Enough highs and lows to have contrast. Some speed-up, and some slow-down. Try to find some with dirt in it. Dirt is the little pauses and stutters and nuances that are gifts to the animators. Little pools of silence to allow a beat of physical interest.
This week, we need to go out and find 3 clips to present as our assignment. They must meet the criteria from above, lest they be a weak choice.

So here’s my top10 list. Bear in mind, I can only turn in 3. Tell me your favorites.

I think my favorite is the second one (I know you need three). You have picked some good clips, but I am wondering if most of them are lacking in the contrast department. I could be way off base.
My vote is for 1, 3 & 8 of these 10 but I agree with Aardvark that they seem to lack visual interest. The lines are funny but it’s hard to see the action.
