I like his motion and his weight. The only thing I would add at the very beginning is two little little bubbles, bubbling up and bursting on either side of the foot that in the puddle. This would explain what attracted his attention that foot in the first place. But make them fast, he shouldn't realize what's going on so that it make sense that he's surprised towards the end.
