  • The Final Layout of Class 5 - Finally

I know, I know I need to write more, but at this moment, I’m IMing with 2 people (one work related), resubmitting renders to the farm, re-dressing a scene, and trying to eat dinner.

And I bugged me enough to post this because one of the IM’ers requested it.

So here it is. The final layout of “Les Dangeroux”

Oy! You saw my animatic last week. Well, this week, we’re bringing it all into layout. And as you can see, the transition from 2d to 3d is exciting [read: HOLYFUCKINGSHITWHATDIDIDO?!!?!?!?]

    Enjoy <333

      Hey bud,
I like your layout geometry! First thing, I believe when a french word ends in “eux” it means it’s plural, so your “Le” should be “Les.” Second, your tilt down from the title is too fast (you probably know this already). Third, your flower vase is overwhelming the rose, make it slimmer and daintier, it’ll make the rose stand out a little more and look more natural. Last, I’m not sure your “hand held” camera works, but I’m not sure. If anyone can make it work, it’s you, so I’ll leave you alone. It was a little distracting when I first watch it, so my only suggestion is to tone it down a bit more so it doesn’t call to much attention to itself. Other than that, looks good! Now, I should practice what I preach,eh? Happy belated birthday, brotha!

It’s awesome! I agree that the hand held camera effect is a bit distracting. But I like the idea.

This is good. Most of the feedback I’m getting is “I like it, but it’s too much.”
This is good because I like the steadicam style. So, I’m going to tone it down for the bits that don’t need it and ramp it up during the fight. But not too much ;-)
I want the fight to feel a little bit like Jason Bourne’s fights… with Kung Fu. It’ll be awesome!

Thanks for the feedback! There will be more next week. I’ll have 2/3rds done by next Sunday.
